The Case For Arcade Racers On Your Commute
There's a reason arcade racers have lived on phones since the beginning. A two-minute race fits a train platform, a coffee queue, or the gap before a meeting perfectly.
Neon Drift Rush is the one I keep returning to lately. It's all about chaining drifts around neon corners, and the handling clicks after a few runs. Beating my own best time is enough of a hook.
The genre works because it asks nothing of you long-term. You can ignore it for a week and jump back in without relearning anything.
If realistic sims bore you on a small screen, that's fine. Arcade handling is honestly more fun with touch controls anyway.
My advice: tweak the control scheme early. Tilt versus tap makes a huge difference, and the default isn't always the best for you.
