Iron Dominion

Iron Dominion drops you into a frontier you have to fortify, expand, and defend. What sets it apart is how readable the interface is; most mobile strategy games bury you in menus, but here the key decisions sit one tap away.

Battles play out in small, tense skirmishes where positioning beats raw numbers. We lost a few early fights simply because we rushed, and the game rewarded patience once we slowed down.

The single-player campaign is long enough to justify the install on its own, and there's a steady trickle of new maps. It asks for focus, so it's better for a sit-down session than a quick dip.
